This year the Basketball MUSS will be done a little differently. If you are a member of the Football MUSS you are now automatically a member of the Basketball MUSS; no additional registration is necessary. To enter basketball games all you will need is your student ID card; no admission fee is required. Your card will be scanned as you enter the Huntsman Center and you will be allowed to sit anywhere in the MUSS section; all seating will be general admission. The MUSS section will be located in Section H.
You are allowed to bring up to 4 non-student guests for free; there will be a table at the student entrance where you can get your guest tickets. There will also be a table at Portal 5 where you can pick-up a MUSS shirt. To get your shirt all you need is your student ID card, which will be scanned again.
The Basketball team is hosting the "Night with the Runnin' Utes" on Weds, Oct. 24th at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. The team will play a full scrimmage and will be available for autographs afterward on the Huntsman floor.
The first basketball game is Fri, Nov. 2nd at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. This is an exhibition game against Simon Fraser. It's ingenious. I have been suggesting that they do this for years. This is how you get more students out to the games. It should be a requirement that to join the Football Muss you have to also agree to join the Basketball Muss and actually attend the games (at least a percentage of them).
