Considering the statements above, our fans must not falter from the path of encouragement and a positive attitude. ESPECIALLY THE MUSS! Stay the whole game and cheer your hardest. Participate in the 3rd down jump! Act as if every down is 3rd down. A great coach that was apart of our history once quoted: "Why be average? I don't want to be around average". The Urban Meyer stated that. Don't let your MUSS be average!!! Our players won't quit if their inspiration doesn't. THE MUSS can, has been and will be the backbone to our tradition of winning and school spirit. Please, with a hard season, don't let it die. Don't let your heart die because some ranking, article or person downplays our worth as a school and football program.
So let's press forward as ONE MUSS and show University of Southern California that we can play PAC-12 football. We can cheer louder. We can help our team rise to the occasion. We haven't given up. We will PAC THE MUSS and we dare their gang of college men to meet us in it.
- EVERY DOWN IS 3RD DOWN
- STAY POSITIVE
- COME TO EVERY GAME
- CHEER LOUDLY
- KEEP TRADITION ALIVE
As always it's a pleasure,
Cody

ReplyDeleteIs there a limit of how many can go on the MUSS BUS? How do we sign up?
ReplyDeleteThere will be a limit and you sign up online through the Muss Read. You should have received an email?
DeleteAwesome article! Just what a lot of the fans needed. Be loud next week vs USC
ReplyDeleteCan the MUSS Please figure out the first down thing? It looks horrible-half of the MUSS doesn't even do it, and then its happening multiple times every first down. I don't know what you can do, but seriously-it looks bad. I'm on board for it happening but as of right now it doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteDude, what are you talking about? I've been a MUSS member for years (the forever-student) and have no clue what you mean by the "first down thing"...?
DeleteLower bowl typically has it timed pretty well but to have the whole section do it, you're right Andrew it needs work. See these things are good. Anything else? Emily...if you don't know what the first down cheer is. It is when someone, typically head of the section, stands up and slowly bring their arms up and signals the first down in the direction the Utes got it.
ReplyDeleteGood to know. I figured it out during the USC game. The problem is that not all of the huge student section can see one person, and not everyone (read that "almost no one") knows to focus on that one person for the first down cheer.
